Mud bowl

_MG_5558, originally uploaded by phaird.
Last sunday was a muddy day and these two puppies wanted to get as much on them as possible. There wasn't anything they wanted to do but wrestle and play. If you look at the other photos on flickr, you'll see that even Toby got into it a bit. As a terrier though, he just wanted to dominate the action.
These two are both puppies and have endless amounts of energy. They were going at each other the entire time I was there. Running round wrestle, nocking into people, and getting every dog as muddy as possible. There was a lot of dogs that went right home and into the bath.
That's a perfect dog park kinda day.

Hi! I am a resident of Harvard and am looking for a fenced dog park. My dog is very friendly with other dogs but is timid with new people. I don't trust him not to run away in fear of strangers. I gather from this blog that there is a dog park in acton- which appears to be open and without any containment. Is there a fenced dog park in maynard? I am having a hard time finding information online.

Thanks! Liz

Hi Liz,
I don't know of any fenced in areas around here. Maydog is the Maynard Dog group that is working toward a fenced in dog park in Maynard. The only dog park I know of that's fenced in is in Boston. Others might have some ideas. You should come to the Acton park on Sunday and see how things go. 10am is the start time but if you start early, there will be less people and dogs. Maybe if there are lots of dogs around, your pup won't care too much about the people. It will just take some time to get him confortable. Ask the May Dog group too. I was involved with them before and they are a good group.
