Oscar feeling better

Oscar-feeling-better, originally uploaded by phaird.

I love coming to the Acton park every weekend but I have to say that seeing Oscar really made my day. He has cancer of the bone and was really sick when I first met him in September. He is looking better then ever and has been gaining weight. He still has to be careful not to over due it but Oscar's owner are working hard to keep him healthy. Everyday is a gift for Oscar, his family and all his friends that are always happy to see him. I hope to see Oscar again soon.

coming and going

coming-and-going, originally uploaded by phaird.

Winter has been pretty gray but this last Sunday was a really nice day. There was a lot of people who took advantage of the nice day. I got to see people dogs and owners I haven't seen in a while. Fenway was out but no Scout. He has a hard time with all the big crowds.

I also got to meet some other photographers. Ron Labbe who is a is a 3D photographer is a regular to the park. From what I can see on his site, you really is doing some amazing things with 3D photography.

Susan Huszar is another photographer who is building her niche as a child and pet photographer. Check out her site, she has some really great photos.

Dog Boston

On a more positive note, I just ran across this great site focusing on dogs in boston. Dogboston.com/blog. is a great resource for locals to get info about things going on about town as it relates to dogs. There is a wealth of information that you can use to find parks as well health and care for your 4 legged children. I have a link to them on the right so check them out when you can.

It is also part of a larger website, care.dogboston.com

Boston as hypocrite

It wasn't that long ago I was excited that Mayor Manino showed up for the opening of a new (or at least newly redone) dog park in the city of boston. Now with the Big Dig finally getting around to finishing the Greenway park area, they want to keep dogs out. See this article in the Providence Journal. Note that this isn't in any Boston Papers that I can find. I only heard about it from a blip on Channel 5 news.

I've been corrected. Thanks DogBoston.

Bath

I thought I'd put up a new drawing by Tony who will be doing the illustrations for the book. This one is called Bath. I'm really excited about the drawings he's done so far and as we get closer to our first run of the book. I'll put up more images that Tony has made. I thought you'd like to see some of his great ideas.
